EMV CAP Toolkit PDF E-mail

Overview

The DS3 ATK (Authentication Toolkit) for EMV CAP / AA4C is Mastercard-certified to function as a CTVS (CAP Token Validation Service) and CTGS (CAP Token Generation Service). It is used in conjunction with frontend EMV-Chip based smartcards to authenticate the CAP token generated by the EMV-Chip cards.

How is EMV CAP / AA4C used ?

  • Most chip-based cards (Credit, Debit, ATM, etc) are based on the EMV standard.
  • These cards, through with a reader, are able to generate a One-time Password (OTP) that can be used for login authentication or transaction authorization.
  • The OTP that is generated is known as a CAP Token, generated under the CAP specifications or AA4C specifications.
  • The backend authentication server that verifies the CAP Token is called the CTVS (CAP Token Verification Service).
  • The DS3 ATK for EMV CAP / AA4C is certified by Mastercard for EMV CAP / AA4C, and has also been validated for VISA DPA for use with EMV CAP / AA4C smartcard and readers.
